Can I create a timesheet without creating a booking

It is possible to add a new timesheet direct into the Timesheet Screen. This would be used when processing timesheets when an additional shift has been worked or when a timesheet is present for a self booked shift for a nurse that is not in the timesheet list.

After adding a new shift you may need to refresh the screen to see the added shift. If you still cannot see the added shift it will probably be because the shift date does not fall into the current week you are working on. Select the correct week from the 'Week No' box at the top of the screen. Then check for the shift.

To add a new shift:

On the Invoice/Wages Menu under Timesheets the box at the bottom left of the screen can be used.

Click New, if the shift is for the member of staff you are currently working with, the Name, Grade and Pay Type need not be entered, similarly if thit is for the same Group, Client, Department need not be changed. Important things to check are:

Name: Can be selected from the drop down list using the arrow on the right of the field

Grade: This has to be the correct Grade for the Staff and Charge Level

Nurse: This should be 'Rate 2' for Paye staff, or' Rate 4' for Ltd/ Self employed

Day: Three characters for the day of the week the shift started on ie 'Tue'

Shift: Select from the drop down list

Start: Should be the Date the shift started in dd/mm/yyyy format followed by the start time

Finish: Should be the Date the shift finished in dd/mm/yyyy format followed by the end time

Group: Group or Trust selected from Drop Down List

Client: Client or Hospital selected from Drop Down List

Dept: Dept or Location selected from the drop down List

Booked: Select from drop down list

Click on Save when finished you will be asked to confirm click ok
