Installing Pulse on your Windows device

Downloading Pulse
- Download the .zip file.
- This will install the file in your downloads folder.
- Navigate to your downloads folder on your computer, you will see a folder named "Windows".
- Double click the "windows" folder. You will then see two files; "pulse.connect" and "Setup-ConnectionClient".
- Double click "Setup-ConnectionClient" to open it.
- A message will then appear, click "Run".
- The install wizard will now open, click "Install".
- Once the install wizard has finished installing, click 'Finish'.
- Then navigate back to the "Windows" folder which should still be in your downloads folder.
- Move the Pulse file on to your desktop; you can do this by right clicking the file, click "Cut".
- Then right clicking your desktop and clicking "Paste".
- You will then have the following icon on your desktop:
- Double click on the Pulse file you installed.
- If a window pops up similar to this one below, its because of your antivirus software. If nothing pops up move on to step 3.
- If you do not have an antivirus software then click here.
- Based on your antivirus software you may have a different message and there will be different ways to get around that message.
- If you want to add an exclusion to your antivirus software, first find out what your antivirus software is called, next google search '{your antivirus software name here} how to add exceptions'. Replace what's in the brackets with the name of your antivirus.
- You can also click 'More Info' and then 'Run Anyway'. However you will have to do this overtime you open Pulse.
- A login box will open up. Type in your Pulse 'Username' and 'Password', click 'Connect'. If it fails, retype your details and click 'Connect'.
- Pulse desktop will open.
